Atlas Learning Academy

The preschool and kindergarten programs are designed to assist children with the development of their social and cognitive skills. The teachings methods and expectations will vary in order to accommodate the age appropriate learning levels.

The smaller class offerings allow for more one on one time between the teacher and the student, thus creating a more individually catered learning experience while still in a group setting.

The programs also include the introduction of Computer Literacy.  Through the use of educational computer  games, children will learn the basics skills required to navigate a computer, further enhancing their motor and cognitive co-ordination skills. (Kindergarten only)

The programs are based on the Alberta Education Curriculum and will emphasize the seven key learning areas:

• Early Literacy

• Early Numeracy

• Citizenship and Identity

• Environment and Community Awareness

• Personal and Social Responsibility

• Physical Skills and well-being

• Creative Expression

(The kindergarten children will be evaluated throughout the year through teacher observation and completed work).
